Matinee by LastBench Studio
Across the social and public-interest sector, organisations are finding new ways to tell their stories.
Some are making complex research more accessible through film. Others are rethinking how they communicate, redesigning their identities, or building campaigns that invite people into conversations that matter.
Matinee is an opportunity to step behind some of that work.
Across the evening, we'll screen a selection of projects we've had the privilege of collaborating on, alongside the stories, decisions, and creative process that shaped them.
Whether you're working in communications, fundraising, programmes, research, design, or simply curious about how meaningful work reaches people, we hope you'll leave with a few new ideas about what storytelling can make possible.
It's a showcase, a reflection, and a bit of a hangout, all rolled into one.
What's Playing
This edition of Matinee brings together work from organisations working across education, governance, livelihoods, justice, philanthropy, and public systems.
You'll see films, identities, campaigns, websites, publications, and original ideas created to help organisations communicate their work with greater clarity and care.
Alongside every project, we'll share the thinking behind it; the conversations, constraints, experiments, and unexpected turns that happen behind the scenes.
What To Expect
An evening of films, conversations, and behind-the-scenes stories from the past year.
You'll get to:
