Raising Boys, Healing Communities: Conversations on the Mental Health of our Young Men
Raising Boys, Healing Communities
A Community Conversation on the Wellbeing of Our Boys and Young Men
Thursdays | Live on Zoom | Free and Open to All
What do our boys need from us?
In a time when young men are navigating increasing isolation, emotional pressure, questions of belonging, and uncertainty about their place in the world, we need spaces where we can come together and ask deeper questions.
Not only about what is going wrong, but about what is possible.
Raising Boys, Healing Communities is an ongoing series of community conversations bringing together parents, fathers, mothers, mentors, educators, mental health professionals, elders, and anyone who cares deeply about the next generation of young men.
Together, we'll explore how we can build healthier relationships, stronger communities, and meaningful opportunities for boys to grow into responsible, compassionate, resilient men.
What We'll Explore
Our conversations may include:
Boys Thrive in Healthy Stress — Understanding the role of challenge, risk, responsibility, and supported adversity in healthy development.
The Role of Uncles and Elders — Rebuilding communities of mentorship and belonging beyond the nuclear family.
Breaking the Silence — Addressing the stigma of mental health struggles for boys and young men, and creating spaces where they can speak honestly.
These themes are invitations, not fixed agendas. The questions and experiences participants bring will help guide the conversations ahead.
Join the Conversation
We gather online on Thursdays. Each gathering is an opportunity to listen, contribute, ask questions, and help build a community that is committed to showing up for our boys.
Come once, come often, or join our invitation list to stay connected as the series develops.
Registration is required. To protect the integrity and privacy of our gathering, please do not share the Zoom link, invite people to register here.
While participation is free and open to all, a $10-15 donation is encouraged to support these community conversations and the efforts of the facilitator to organize and continue his service to men and boys.
