​Welcome to the NYU UX Club Designathon!

​Whether you're refining your craft or entering your first competition, this is a chance to build something real, collaborate with fellow designers, and push your ideas from concept to prototype. This is open to all students, not just NYU students.

​Team Registration Requirements

• ​👥 Team size: 2–4 people per team.

• ​🤝 Form your team ahead of time before registering.

• ​✅ Every team member must RSVP individually through this Luma page.

• ​📅 Registration closes: October 28, 2028, at 11:59 PM EST.

• ​📩 More submission details will be shared after registration closes.

​The Format

​→ Part One: The Design Sprint.

​The first week is fully online, running Monday to Friday, November 2nd to 6th. All teams submit their work by Friday at 11:59 PM, and finalists will be selected and announced over the weekend.

​→ Part Two: The Final Presentation.

​Selected semi-finalists present their work live at the UX Club Design Mixer on Friday, November 13th, starting at 5:30 PM. This is your stage. You'll present in front of a panel of judges and everyone attending the mixer, putting your work directly in front of designers, professionals, and peers from across the community. The winning team will be chosen by the judges and awarded at the mixer, with photos taken of the winners alongside the judges and mixer attendees.

​How It Works

​Kickoff is November 2nd ONLINE. We'll reveal the official Designathon prompt and walk you through everything you need to compete. Attendance at kickoff is mandatory. Anyone who misses it will not be eligible to continue.
