Matching will be powered by Matchbox. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. The algorithm has matched more than half a million people to date, across 40 countries. It optimizes for long-term compatibility, based on values—but it’s up to you to see if you’ll click.
How it works:
Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox's team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!

7:00pm—guests arrive, grab drinks, and mingle

7:30pm—beginner NY Salsa On2 class by Xavier Tejeda and Maria Raquel Trio: learn the essentials while guided by live instruments, no partner required
8:00pm—DJ, cocktails, & open floor for dancing
Matchbox Add-on: guests are split into groups
8:20pm—first live salsa set by Maria Raquel Trio
9:00pm—DJ, cocktails, & open floor for dancing
Matchbox Add-on: matches are revealed
9:20pm—second live salsa set by Maria Raquel Trio
10:00pm—event concludes

Q: What age range is the event for? A: This event is for people 21+.
Q: [Matchbox Add-On] What if I don't get a match? A: We aim to maintain a 50/50 lead to follow ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice, valid for 60 days after this event.
Q: Do I need dance shoes? A: No! Though, for dancing, proper dance heels are recommended to avoid risk of injury.
Q: What should I wear? A: Dress to impress (this is an elevated event after-all) but be prepared to sweat a little.
Q: Do I need to know Spanish? A: Salsa is the only language we will be speaking!
Q: What style of Salsa will we be dancing? A: "NY Style" "Mambo" "On2"
