BioForge 2026 - Synthetic Biology & Microbial Engineering Seminar
We are excited to invite you to the first BioForge - a scientific seminar bringing together researchers working in synthetic biology, metabolic engineering, microbial engineering, and related fields across Estonia!
Rather than a traditional conference, we envision an interactive and informal scientific gathering where researchers can exchange ideas, learn from each other's experiences, and discuss the challenges they encounter in their work. Additionally, we believe regular meetings would help drive interest in these fields among students, and develop early career scientists by giving them an opportunity to discuss with and present to peers in the same field
Who should join?
BioForge welcomes researchers at different career stages — from second-year Master’s and PhD students to postdoctoral researchers, principal investigators, and research group leaders.
Whether you are developing new biological systems, engineering microorganisms, optimizing metabolic pathways, or tackling experimental challenges, we encourage you to join the conversation!
Building a scientific community
Our ambition is for BioForge to grow into a recurring meeting point for Estonia's synthetic biology and microbial engineering community.
