Photography Is… Embracing Vulnerability - From Lens to Self Festival 2026

​Taking a photograph can mean making visible something we usually protect: part of ourselves, a relationship, a memory, an uncertainty or a private place. This workshop explores the relationship between control and openness through photography. With guided exercises, you will notice what makes an image feel authentic, which aspects you choose to show and how your way of looking changes when you make room for imperfection and incompleteness. You will also reflect on the responsibility involved in photographing another person with care and respect. Images become a way to explore vulnerability as a possibility for honesty, intimacy and connection. You decide what to photograph and share.

​No photography experience required. As is usual for From Lens to Self experiences, please ensure you are on time and connected via a computer or laptop.

​What to bring: A smartphone or digital camera, pen and paper
