㊩ Health from an Eastern Perspective: Chinese Medicine
Experience the Fusion of Zen, Daoism, and Chinese Medicine from a Master - Dr. Lucy Xiao
Dr. Lucy Xiao - Daoist/Zen Master and Chinese Medicine Doctor, will be coming into the Commons to lead a workshop on Chinese Medicine. Many Commons members have taken classes on Daoism, Zen, and/or Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with Lucy, and their excitement led us to bring Lucy into the Commons to host an event herself. Lucy seamlessly blends together Daoism, Zen, and TCM - it's rare to find someone who has mastered and integrated spirituality with holistic medicine; genuinely bringing together wellness of the body, mind, and spirit, and this is a great opportunity to learn from that integration.
This will be an interactive workshop where you will learn simple Chinese Medicine techniques that you can apply in your daily life. Lucy will cover insights on nutrition, herbal therapy, and ways to live your life to enhance your overall wellbeing. We're also setting aside time for Q+A where you can get answers to your personal questions around Chinese Medicine or your own wellbeing.
Chinese Medicine is an ancient system of healing and wellbeing that originated acupuncture; but also includes much knowledge that hasn't been widely disseminated in the mainstream, including herbal healing methodologies, nutritional therapy, etc.
Dr. Lucy is an embodiment of the knowledge of Chinese Medicine and the wider spiritual setting it's associated with - you can feel the inner peace and tranquility that radiates from her, and this workshop is a chance to come into close contact with her and learn from the traditions she's spent her whole life mastering; studying deeply both here and in China.
