Freedom to Read, Know, & Participate
At a consequential moment for American democracy, we're coming together for a national conversation about our freedom and responsibility to participate.
Leaders from across civic life, law, journalism, media, philanthropy, culture, and community will explore the freedoms that make participation possible: the freedom to read, to know, to speak, to question, to access trustworthy information, and ultimately, to vote and participate.
Moderated by Lauren Leader of All In Together, the conversation will feature Paul Brandeis Raushenbush of Interfaith Alliance, Andrew Behar of As You Sow, Steven Rosenbaum of the Sustainable Media Center, and Brooke Menschel of Democracy Forward, alongside leaders working to strengthen democratic participation.
This is not a conversation about whom to vote for. It is a conversation about why participation matters and how we ignite it.
Together, we'll explore concrete ways to get involved over the next two years: hosting or joining a Dinner for Democracy, connecting with participating organizations, and bringing civic conversations and initiatives into our own communities.
