About Event

Part of Twin Cities Startup Week 2026, September 14–18.

Hear directly from founders who got some of their earliest exposure to entrepreneurship through student programs, in this case the MN Cup Student Division, then went on to build growing Minnesota companies.

Founding teams from Minneapolis Cider Company, Refr Sports, and Charm Social Tonic will take the stage in succession to share where their companies are today and how early opportunities like MN Cup helped them gain exposure, build momentum, and move from student entrepreneurship into the broader business community. This session is especially for students and early-stage founders who want to see what that path can actually look like, told by people who were sitting where they are not that long ago.

All attendees will receive a sweet treat from Johnny Pops, who was not able to join this talk but wants to send their appreciation for the community!

Co-Founding Speaker Teams:

  • Minneapolis Cider Company: David O'Neill & Jason Dayton

  • Refr Sports: Huck Sorock & Wyatt Gustafson

  • Charm Social Tonic: Della Daml & Josephine "Josie" Miller

  • Moderator: Lauren Mehler Pradhan
