Prompt to Product and what AI fails to tell you
Part of Twin Cities Startup Week 2026, September 14–18.
If you’re a med tech founder with a prototype, concept, or early device design, come for this session and move forward with clarity. Sponsored by Industrious and Legacy Design & Development.
Come with a physical product in mind and learn how to design, test, validate, and launch your product idea with a real expert who can tell you what AI does not tell you:
→ Can this be manufactured?
→ What will make it expensive?
→ What will slow it down?
→ What needs to be fixed before tooling?
→ What should we do next?
Patrick Fanning, CEO/Principal Engineer at Legacy Design and Development, will share how to work on a fictional product from an AI prompt to a physical product. This is an interactive workshop to help people understand the fundamental design for manufacturing.
Direction & Parking:
Look for Dario (which you see prominently when you drive up) and Amazon (also on signage on the exterior of the building).
When you arrive, check in on the second floor at T3 building at Industrious Front Desk and ask to be sent to Conference Room C.
For parking, street parking, or Ramp C, are good options for longer stays (over three hours). Once you are parked in Ramp C, it is most convenient to get to T3 building if you exit on the basement level on the northeast side of the parking ramp (3rd Ave exit). When you exit from there and approach the T3 building, you will be on the back side, and those doors are secured. Please walk to the front of the T3 building and enter those doors. For shorter visits, there are metered spots right in front of the T3 building, and in the back of the building, just a heads-up that the parking manager keeps a close eye on the meters!
