About Event

A special Shared Table Dinner* on connection, strength, and what we ask of each other.

*For men and persons who have been socialized as boys or men.

We live in a world that teaches us to compete, to contain emotions, to go it alone. Many of us internalize a version of masculinity that prizes self-sufficiency above interdependence, strength above vulnerability. But when strength becomes isolation, what does that do to our friendships — and to our sense of belonging?

This Shared Table Dinner brings together men and those socialized as men to explore how competition, self-reliance, and strength have shaped the ways we connect and what might grow when we let those soften.

The evening is co-created with Jindy Mann, founder of Leader.Brother.Son, a global project exploring what it means to be a man today, and Jack Becher, creator of Beyond Patriarchy, a learning journey that supports men to acknowledge complicity in patriarchal dynamics, unlearn limiting patterns, and imagine relational futures beyond dominance. Together they bring practices, stories, and inquiries to spark honest and generative dialogue.

🍎 How It Works

We ask that you bring something small and easy to share to keep it simple, tasty, and low-waste. You could bring a spread, a salad, raw veggies for a platter, a leftover that’s still delicious, or something sweet 🍫. Homemade or store-bought, all welcome.

This is an alcohol-free, vegetarian dinner — we’ll have tea and water to share.

Come by yourself, with a friend, or someone you only recently met!

Pay What You Can 🌟

We want this dinner to be accessible, so we’ve set a sliding scale you can choose from:

  • 10 € → helps us cover material costs and give a little back

  • 15 € → supports the work the facilitator(s), and sustains the space for future gatherings

Pay what feels right for you—and know that every contribution makes these Shared Tables possible for the community!

Thank you for supporting us, your hosts—C*SPACE, a purpose-driven creative hub housed in a former furniture factory in Weißensee, cultivating curiosity, community, and regenerative ideas through events, co-working, and cultural programs, and The Oneliness Project, led by Monika Jiang, a writer, facilitator, and community builder, explores the transformation from loneliness to connection, weaving our shared experience into a practice of oneliness.

🕰️ Flow

18:30 – Doors Open
Arrive slowly, help set the table, or just settle in.

19:15 – Welcome
Please have arrived by now so we can begin together.

19:30 – Shared Table: Potluck Meal
Let’s eat! :) Sharing what we’ve each brought.

20:15 – Reflections & Sharing Circle
Gentle invitation to connect more deeply around the topic of the evening.

21:15 – Clean up together
If everyone washes their bowl, we’ll be done in no time. And anyway, the best conversations often happen in the kitchen.

22:00 – Doors Close
Leave with a full belly, hopefully, a full heart, and maybe something new to sit with.

Can’t wait to see you!
With love,
Monika, Jack, Jindy & C*Space
