The Last Mile
Please join Electricity Canada and the National Electricity Roundtable in Ottawa for the The Last Mile.
Canada’s growth challenge is about how to power urban centres and neighbourhoods. As electrification accelerates, distribution systems are increasingly the front line for this, as they power cities, enable housing, and support economic development at the community level.
The Last Mile is a one-day policy symposium bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to examine how electricity distribution underpins Canada’s growth, affordability, and urban resilience.
Through keynote insights, expert panels, and case studies, the event will explore the role of local utilities in strengthening grid resilience, connecting new development faster, and managing rising demand cost-effectively.
