Edinburgh Empty Chairs
Empty Chairs is a simple community idea: book a small table in a pub, leave a few chairs empty, and make it easy for anyone to join for a chat.
You can sign up for a free ticket here, or you can turn up without a ticket - everyone is welcome.
It’s not a club, a therapy session, or a networking event. It’s just a friendly table where you can sit down, order a drink if you want, and talk to someone. Come for five minutes, stay for an hour, or head off whenever you’re ready.
What to Expect

No sign-up, no pressure, no expectation to stay
You can come alone, bring a friend, or just say hello and leave
We keep things welcoming and respectful - you don’t have to share anything personal
