📢 EVENT UPDATE — POSTPONED TO NOVEMBER 2026

The AI Era: The Horizontal Explosion of Cyber Threats

Lessons from South Korea's ARTEX Case: What Financial Institutions and Critical Industries Need to Know

This workshop has been postponed to November 2026.

The new date will be announced once confirmed.

Registration is temporarily closed.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

🛡️ Event Overview

As AI accelerates the scale and sophistication of cyberattacks, threats once considered isolated may increasingly affect entire industries and interconnected organisations.

What does this mean for Europe's financial institutions and business leaders?

This session offers a rare opportunity to gain first-hand insights from an experienced national-level cyber incident investigator into the emerging risks facing European financial institutions and businesses.

Recent cyberattacks targeting South Korean financial institutions have raised concerns about AI-assisted attack tools, including ARTEX. The case was also covered by RTL Luxembourg.

Similar attack methods could pose emerging risks to European financial institutions and other organisations holding critical assets or sensitive customer data.

Joon Kim, Founder & CEO of Naru Security and Managing Director of CyberExM in Luxembourg, analyzed the ARTEX incident.

Drawing on this experience, he will share practical, first-hand insights into:

  • What happened: How the AI-assisted attack unfolded and the methods involved, explained for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Where institutions are vulnerable: Common security weaknesses and how attackers exploit the weakest points.

  • How to prepare: Practical detection, response, and risk mitigation measures organisations can begin considering today.

The session will focus on real-world lessons, operational resilience, and actionable insights, rather than theoretical cybersecurity discussions.

👥 Who Should Attend

This session is particularly relevant for:

  • CEOs, Board Members, CIOs, CISOs, CROs, and senior executives

  • Security, IT, operational risk, and digital transformation leaders

  • Financial crime, fraud prevention, and compliance professionals

  • Decision-makers at banks, insurance companies, asset managers, and other organisations managing critical assets or sensitive data

Anyone interested in understanding and responding to evolving cyber threats in the age of AI is welcome, regardless of industry, role, or technical background. No prior cybersecurity knowledge is required.
