Connected Homes GM
Join us at Connected Homes GM, hosted by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
This event is a practical, discussion‑led day for social housing providers and local authority housing teams who are thinking about how connected and digital technology can improve services and enable healthier homes for residents.
The focus will be on sharing real learning from 'connected homes' projects happening across Greater Manchester. We’ll talk openly about what works, what’s been harder than expected, and what’s been learned along the way.
Most of the day will be spent in small group discussions, looking at practical themes such as energy, care technology, damp and mould, connectivity and procurement, and how these relate to the challenges people that work in social housing are dealing with day to day.
There will also be space to talk honestly about what’s getting in the way of adoption in social housing - whether that’s capacity, risk, funding, confidence or organisational barriers - and to identify what practical support could remove those and help to make better connected homes a reality.
We’re running this event to move beyond pilots and case studies, and to help turn learning into realistic next steps for housing providers. It’s about creating time and space to think, compare notes with peers, and get clearer on what could work next.
You’ll leave with practical insight, useful connections, and a clearer sense of where this work could go for your organisation.
It’s all part of Greater Manchester’s shared ambition to build a thriving city region where everyone can live a good life.
