You know sponsorships matter. Now it's time to figure out who to actually talk to – and how to approach them without feeling like a salesperson.
Session 2 of our sponsorship workshop series gets into the prospecting work: how to identify mission-aligned partners, leverage your audience and content as assets, and find the right contacts through both cold and warm outreach. Emily and April will share four key ideas for a non-sales-y approach that actually works.
Pre-work (due June 24): Audit three content creators or news outlets you admire. For each: identify their sponsor approach across platforms, the types of organizations backing them, and what job those sponsors are solving for. Come ready to share what you found.
