About Event

Most organisations are already carrying AI risk, whether they have adopted it deliberately or not. This practical session is built for Chiefs of Staff: the people who decide what reaches the principal and the board. In one hour we will cover why AI is now a strategic and legal risk, how the rising standard of care and officers' duties apply across the region, and what recent cases reveal about what should have been escalated. You will leave with a simple playbook for identifying, assessing and escalating AI issues, plus a one-page decision tree to use in your own organisation.

Vladimir is a commercial and corporate lawyer with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. He advises clients on AI contracting, governance frameworks and policy drafting, and is active in the regulatory conversation, including through submissions to government consultations. He also writes regularly on AI's legal and governance implications.

This sits on a deep foundation in contract drafting, review and negotiation and advice complex legal issues. Drawing on his background as in-house counsel at one of Australia's largest companies, Vladimir works extensively with in-house teams and the C-suite of global and ASX-listed companies across the technology, payments, energy and financial services sectors.
