

Leadership Series: Advising on Geopolitics: How to Mitigate and Prepare for Geopolitical Risks
This session is hybrid. The first hour is available to all members on Zoom. The second hour is for members attending in person in Melbourne.
Led by geopolitical strategist and international affairs expert, Damien Bruckard, this session is designed to elevate understanding and analysis of geopolitical risk for chiefs of staff.
Session 1: 6.00-7:00pm AEST (Registration open at 5.30pm) - Geopolitical Literacy Masterclass (Hybrid)
- Developing a working model
- Mapping specific organisational risks
- Quantifying risk through probability and financial impact
Members will leave with the tools and frameworks to monitor and quantify geopolitical risks.
Session 2: 7.00-7.30pm AEST - Geopolitical Crisis Simulation (In-Person Only)
Join a live in-person geopolitical crisis simulation involving a regional case study.
Drinks: 7.30-8.00pm. The event will conclude with drinks.
Damien Bruckard advises major corporations, financial institutions and public sector clients on geopolitical risks and opportunities, strategy development and corporate diplomacy. Prior to founding Geopolitical Strategy, Damien held senior roles at the International Chamber of Commerce and served as an Australian diplomat, including in the Australian Embassy in Moscow, and as a trade negotiator, foreign policy advisor and public international lawyer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra. Damien also writes regularly for Geopolitical Dispatch, a daily publication on international affairs for business.
