404: FORMAT NOT FOUND

The Lighthouse’s first film festival

December 10, 2026 · Brooklyn

The two-chair interview. The overhead food shot. The music video that stopped being strange. Every format has its habits. Let’s break a few.

We’re inviting creators, filmmakers and the boldest of storytellers to answer an open national call: make a short of five minutes or less that takes an established format somewhere unexpected.

It all culminates in Festival Day at The Lighthouse Brooklyn—a day of programming, access and conversations, connecting people who see things differently. Come for five finalist film premieres, meet your next collaborator and stay for the awards and celebration.

Watch. Make. Meet. Break the format.

Request your RSVP to Festival Day.

Answer the open call by November 24.
