🌷 Deeply Hopeful Futures is a global series of salons and coordination gatherings designed to connect key nodes across the emerging Flourishing and Existential Hope movement.
As Autonomous and Intelligent Systems (AIS) transform infrastructure of everyday life and society, the question is no longer only what risks and harms we must prevent: The next frontier is to actively design futures where transformative AI and frontier technologies prioritise human and planetary flourishing, now for generations to come. Not as an afterthought, but as a systemic design discipline.
Join us at Stanford for an intimate lunch salon bringing together Bay Area ecosystem builders, movement builders, researchers, funders, policymakers, educators, designers, founders, and institutional leaders working to align AI with life.
Together, we will explore how to move from shared intention to shared responsibility, building the language, metrics, governance, incentives, public trust, and cross-sector relationships needed to make flourishing futures possible.
This will be a participatory session: a short opening frame, share-outs from each group, and a shared design exercise for ecosystem/ movement coordination making flourishing a serious criterion for AIS progress.
Guiding Questions
What would it mean to design AI for human and planetary flourishing?
What is still missing between shared aspiration and coordinated action?
What impacts remain under-measured or institutionally invisible?
What language, cultural shifts, metrics, governance, and incentives would make flourishing practical?
How can the Bay Area ecosystem coordinate as a meaningful node in this global movement?
This gathering is for people working across AI, governance, design, education, wellbeing, sustainability, philanthropy, responsible innovation, public engagement, and systems change — especially those interested in moving from principles to practice.
