This Thursday, Wanakam becomes our very own East Amsterdam Shire. We’re hosting Tash & Tap for a night of Magic: The Gathering Prerelease Draft & Sealed play.
Tash (cards) has always been the social glue of our living rooms, late nights, and family gatherings. Combining that raw, nostalgic tabletop energy with the rich lore of MTG—and pairing it with serious Shire-level hospitality—feels like the most natural thing in the world. Whether you’re a seasoned strategist, a casual kitchen-table player, or someone dusting off their binder after years away, there is a seat at the table for you.
The Hobbit Hole Philosophy: Food & Gathering
We are taking the food situation very seriously. In true Bag End fashion, playing cards on an empty stomach is strictly forbidden.
We’re turning the Wanakam kitchen into a full-fledged hearth for the evening. Expect a continuous stream of comfort food, hot bites, and freshly brewed spiced chai running from doors open until the final round:
Second Breakfast & Elevenses Energy: Warm, comforting regional bites cooked with care—designed to sustain you through intense draft picks and tight mana curves.
