Lady Niguma Yoga: The Hidden Teachings on the Subtle Body
What if the key to transforming your physical experience lies not in the body itself, but in the subtle energies that shape it?
Discover one of the most extraordinary yoga traditions preserved through the centuries: a practice attributed to Lady Niguma, an 11th-century female yogic master whose teachings, rooted in India, have been transmitted through an unbroken lineage of Tibetan practitioners.
At the heart of this tradition lies the subtle body — an intricate system of energy channels and centers that, according to traditional yogic philosophy, forms the foundation of our physical experience.
The ultimate purpose of this practice goes far beyond physical flexibility, relaxation, or even emotional balance.
According to these ancient teachings, our inner energies shape our experience of the world. By learning to work with these energies and direct them into the Central Channel, known as Sushumna, practitioners cultivate the conditions for wisdom, bliss, and ultimately, complete freedom from suffering.
The transformation begins on the inside.
This immersive two-hour masterclass invites you to explore these teachings through philosophy, chanting, meditation, and a gentle, accessible yoga sequence.
Beyond Asana: The Deeper Purpose of Yoga
Most modern yoga classes focus primarily on the physical body.
But in the teachings of Lady Niguma, physical postures are just one part of a much larger system.
The practice works with the subtle body through several complementary forms of yoga:
Philosophy: Discover the traditional map of the subtle body and understand the relationship between mind, energy, and physical experience.
Chanting: Use sound and intention to activate and work with the energy centers.
Meditation: Train the mind, cultivate awareness, and explore the inner conditions for wisdom and clarity.
Asana: Move through a gentle, intentional sequence traditionally practiced to support the movement of energy toward a state of bliss and unshakable wisdom.
Together, these elements offer a radically different understanding of yoga: not simply a method for moving the body, but a complete practice for transforming our inner and outer experience.
