The One Thing: A Founders Roundtable — Sam Shargo
A facilitated roundtable for owners of service businesses. No keynote, no slides, no pitch — Sam Shargo puts one question on the table and the room does the talking.
The question: what's the one thing you need to get off your plate?
Most owners carry a vague sense of being overloaded without ever naming the specific thing that keeps them stuck. Here you name it out loud, in front of a dozen peers who will remember you said it — and then hear two or three concrete moves from the person three seats over who solved the same problem last year.
What you leave with
Your one thing, named. Not "I'm busy" — the actual bottleneck, said in front of people who will ask you about it later.
Moves that have already worked. Not theory from the front of the room. The owner beside you who did it last year.
A short list of people worth knowing. A curated room and a real conversation, rather than name-tag networking.
A signed copy of The Liberated Path, Sam's book, for everyone in the room.
About Sam
Sam Shargo started his first company at 13 and went into the military at 17, then spent two decades building, scaling and eventually selling a technology and cybersecurity company. He's the author of The Liberated Path and the founder of Scale Right Partners.
The thesis came from running two companies at the same time. One routed every decision through him. The other he designed from day one to run without him. When his family needed him through a difficult season, only one of the two survived — and that has shaped everything he's done since.
He now advises founders of service businesses on building companies that don't depend on them.
The room is capped at a dozen owners. The format doesn't work any bigger.
