A one day experience in central London with Ms Kay Green, founder of Dear Parents and Carers, for parents and carers who want to understand the school year before it starts.
Most of us were never shown how school actually works. This is the day you learn to read it.
Whether the child in your life is starting reception or sitting their GCSEs, the year ahead has a shape. The dates. The decisions. The narrow windows that quietly shape a child’s path. Most of us were never shown how to read any of it.
Families aren’t struggling because they don’t care. They’re struggling because no one has properly explained how the school year works. So this year, we’re bringing parents, carers, educators and school leaders into one room to change that.

Meet your host
Ms Kay Green, Founder of Dear Parents and Carers
Kay is a former Teacher, Head of Faculty, Lead Practitioner and Assistant Principal, and now a School Development Lead who audits schools from the inside. She founded Dear Parents and Carers on one observation: the students who do best are the ones whose parents can see the system. At the Summit she leads the ninety minute Four Lenses masterclass.
Meet the panel
Dr Kanayo Dike-Oduah Situ
An educator, researcher and author with expertise in psychology, educational assessment and curriculum leadership. She completed her Doctorate in Education at the UCL Institute of Education, where her research led to the Social Media Assessment Framework (SMAF). She has held senior roles including Director of Social Sciences and Deputy Head of Sixth Form, and speaks nationally and internationally on assessment, curriculum and student experience.
Craige Young
A motivational speaker, educator, author and host of the IMPACT podcast, with over 25 years in UK primary education. A National Crime Agency Ambassador and TeachMate AI ambassador, Craige champions strong partnerships between schools, families and communities, with expertise in growth mindset, leadership, AI and digital safety.
Jody Titus-Maxwell
A curriculum innovator and educational strategist with 19 years of teaching and leadership across the UK and the Caribbean. An Edexcel and CXC examiner, published author, and specialist in SEND and Pupil Premium cohorts, she designs history and humanities resources for the students most often left behind, turning expert thinking into resources that genuinely teach.
Allison Chambers-Boreland
An education leader, school improvement specialist and practising AQA Examiner with 18 years of experience across Jamaica and the UK. Now Head of English and Teaching and Learning Lead, she is known for evidence informed leadership that raises standards and closes gaps, with expertise in curriculum, assessment and teacher development.
Lisa Ogbeide
Founder of The Parent Advice Hub CIC, supporting parents and carers through advocacy, parenting education and evidence informed guidance. With a background in psychology and child and adolescent mental health, Lisa helps families navigate education and strengthen the relationship between parent and child, and is completing an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents.

Samsung KX is approximately a 5 to 7 minute walk from King’s Cross and St Pancras stations, with step free access and lifts on site.
