Understanding NEP Provisions to Cultivate Girls' Aspirations

​The NEP talks about many provisions to support the education of girl students ranging from providing safe conveyance and availability of hostels, ensuring quality education so that interest in education is maintained, recommending policy focus for Socio Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) and especially girls in SEDGs, gender inclusion fund, strengthening of KGBVs etc. As we all know, policy not only sets the overarching framework for educational systems but significantly influences the day-to-day practices at the ground level.
