Thermodynamic Brains & Robots @ NeurIPS 2025
About The Event
You're invited to the most exclusive and brain-stimulating dinner of NeurIPS week, a private gathering for researchers, founders and investors.
📍 5 min walk from NeurIPS location, come for the dinner, stay for the connection 🤍
Food and drinks are on us. You bring the depth, the vibe and the best possible company.
Who It's For
The theme of the dinner is thermodynamic computing, energy-based models, alternative architectures and robotics. Join us to here from key figures like Gill Verdon, who are pushing the envelope on next-generation hardware and thermodynamic computing.
Your Hosts
Vitaly Kleban, AI Research & Investments at cyber•Fund, advanced sensor and materials technology, machine learning on edge, distributed systems and telecommunications.
Todd Hylton - physicist, entrepreneur, proponent of thermodynamic computing, and author of Surfing the Cut: the Uncomputable Nature of Things.
Candice Pattisapu, CEO at Noumenal, is a strategist, psychologist, and co-architect of Noumenal’s approach to world modeling. She researches episodic memory, event segmentation, and emotional state space in humans to understand how to reproduce them in artificial systems.
Patrick Huembeli is trained in quantum information theory and leads Noumenal’s thermodynamic computing work, uniting statistical physics and intelligent systems. Formerly at Extropic, he's worked on superconducting hardware for probabilistic modeling, and he's also architected hybrid quantum–classical ML in both industry and research settings. At Noumenal, Patrick brings full-stack expertise that pushes inference from software to physical computation.
Looking forward to connecting and sharing a great night together,
cyber•Fund
