About the Munich FinTech MeetUp Series

The Munich FinTech MeetUp Series is a recurring after-work event designed to bring together the people shaping the future of finance in Munich.

The format is intentionally simple and accessible, an early-stage initiative aimed at fostering exchange within the local ecosystem. Expectations are modest by design: the focus is on building a consistent space for meaningful conversations over time.

The series is hosted by the non-profit Financial Health Initiative e.V., which works to strengthen collaboration between finance, technology, and research to support innovation that contributes to long-term financial resilience and well-being.

Who should join?

Founders, operators, investors, developers, researchers, students, and financial institutions. Everyone interested in the Munich FinTech ecosystem is welcome. We believe innovation thrives in diverse and open communities.

Format

  • 3 extended pitches (10 minutes each)

  • 5 minutes Q&A per session

  • Followed by informal networking

The main focus is on curated, informal exchange with founders, builders, investors, and other ecosystem players.

Speakers

Pat Alex – Co-Founder of Sabia
Pat will unpack how Sabia is changing the status quo in financial advice and wealth planning. In Germany, 99% of financial advice still runs on commissions – advisors who are paid to sell, not to plan. He'll make the case that true wealth management should be what it was always meant to be: about the client, their goals, and the life they want to live.
Marius Siegert – Co-Founder and former CEO of Sub Capitals (acquired)
Marius will share insights on building in fintech with AI and provide a perspective on prediction markets, exploring whether they create real economic value or are ultimately closer to gambling.
Julia Veitl – Product Team Lead at IKEA Retail & Co-Founder of Fintribe
With years of experience scaling global payment platforms, Julia is a powerhouse in product leadership. She’ll be sharing her insights on building Fintribe, a professional community dedicated to connecting product and payments leaders across Europe to drive innovation through shared knowledge.
