Inside the Admissions Committee - Dinner with a Former Admissions Officer
A complimentary small group dinner with a former admissions officer.
Over dinner, Brittany Davila, who spent more than 15 years in selective admissions at UC Berkeley, Barnard College, and NYU, will walk you through how admissions committees actually make decisions: what they weigh, what they pass over, and what tips a file from maybe to yes. Partway through the evening, you'll take the committee's seat yourself, work through a sample applicant file, and then compare your decision with hers. The group stays small enough that there's real time to ask about your own student.

Brittany Davila has spent more than 15 years inside selective admissions, at UC Berkeley, Barnard College, and NYU, reviewing over 10,000 applications along the way. Most recently, she was Senior Associate Director of Admissions at NYU, where she made the admissions decisions for Stern and Tandon. At UC Berkeley, she evaluated applicants across business, engineering, and computer science. She specializes in working with students from rigorous academic environments and helps them build strategic, compelling applications grounded in clarity and purpose. Her students have been admitted to NYU, Cornell, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Chicago, UC Berkeley, and the University of Michigan.
