​Candid Club Chess 101 is a beginner-friendly chess session covering the fundamentals of the game, followed by plenty of time to put them into practice.

​We’ll go through how each piece moves, the basic rules, simple strategies, common mistakes, and how to start thinking a few moves ahead. Then we’ll pair up and play, with guidance along the way.

​You don’t need to know how to play beforehand. If you already know the basics but want more practice, you’re welcome too.
