You've seen your child's math grade. You've probably never seen how they think about math: how they reason, where they light up, what they do when there's no formula to follow.
That's what this afternoon is for. The MathFit™ Challenge is a free, 90-minute, hands-on family event for kids in Grades K to 5. Your child picks up a MathFit™ Compass at the door and works through four challenges at their own pace, each led by its own Master. No stage, no pressure, no scores called out. You cheer them on, and you walk out with a real picture of how your child thinks and a bag full of things they made and figured out.
This isn't a lecture or a class. It's a family experience. 🎉
🧩 Four challenges, four sides of a mathematician
Being great at math isn't one skill. Each challenge has its own Master and reveals a different one:
🔢 Number Ninja · The Picture Puzzle (Fluency). Solve and watch a hidden picture appear, one piece at a time. It's about how quickly and surely your child works with numbers, and the finished picture goes home. 🎨
🧠 Why Wizard · The Secret-Word Crossword (Understanding). A crossword that checks itself: get the clues right and the answers spell a hidden word. It's about knowing why the math works. ✅
🗺️ Code Captain · The Story Mission (Application). A short story adventure where your child figures out which math to use to crack the code and finish the tale. Math in the real world, and the booklet goes home. 📖
🔍 Logic Legend · The Case File (Reasoning). Open a sealed file and out-think brain teasers that climb from warm-up to genuinely grown-up-stumping. Pure problem-solving.
🧭 The reveal: your child's MathFit™ personality
Your child earns a stamp for every challenge they finish. Once the Compass is full, scan the QR on it (or go to compass.cuemath.com) on your phone, confirm a few details, and at the final station your child is handed their MathFit™ personality: one of six, on a collectible card that's theirs to keep. Every child gets one, and every single one is a strength. 🌟
