April 25th - Lunch & Learn: Public Dialogue 2024 and beyond….putting it into practice
This lunch and learn will look at why public dialogue and Sciencewise are as relevant now as ever. In doing so we will:
highlight what we have learned about the critical success factors in dialogue
explore participants' questions and the practicalities they face in considering public dialogue
look at how Sciencewise can support your dialogue.
Participants will be from government departments, agencies, research councils and programmes who:
are thinking about spending review plans and programmes that need to have public views at their heart;
know there are social and ethical issues raised by the innovation, science or policies they are working on, but don’t know what the public really think
have a policy on the horizon or a developing research programme which needs to be shaped by public voices beyond immediate stakeholders
know that public involvement on the issue will be crucial to shape a successful rollout and there is still room for public voice to influence plans
want to know how public dialogue might work now or in the future
