Peepal 01 - Games we grew up playing
Peepal 01: Games We Grew Up Playing
24 October 2026 | 4:00 to 6:00 PM
What did you play growing up?
The simple games made with paper, pens, string, chits, hands and whatever else we could find. Games we learnt from siblings, cousins, school friends, neighbours and family.
For the first Peepal gathering, we’re bringing some of those games back.
Come play something you remember, teach it to someone else, and learn a game from a different culture or generation. We’ll also hear the little stories around them. Who taught you? Where did you play? Did your version have a completely different name or rule?
You might realise that someone who grew up on the other side of the world played almost the same game you did.
What to expect
A relaxed sit-down afternoon of simple paper, hand and string games, conversations, memories and meeting new people.
You don’t need to bring or prepare anything. If there’s a game you remember, even better.
About Peepal
Peepal is a space for people to come together, share stories, learn from each other and feel like they belong.
It is inspired by the places people have always gathered to talk, play, listen and spend time together.
We’re starting Peepal with play because sometimes the easiest way to connect is simply to sit down and do something together.
People. Stories. Connection.
