Coffee with an Architect
Have questions about planning or design for an upcoming project? Join me, a licensed architect, for a one‑hour coffee conversation to talk through ideas, challenges, and next steps.
This session is designed for anyone seeking architectural or planning guidance whether you’re a homeowner considering an addition or ADU, a business owner planning a tenant improvement, or a developer evaluating a larger project and looking for early, professional insight.
Topics we can cover include:
Site planning and early feasibility considerations
Pros and cons of different design ideas you may be considering
Programming your project. What types of rooms or spaces you’ll need, how they relate to one another, and how much square footage is typically required
Evaluate current plans or have fun sketching new plans for ground‑up new builds, remodels, renovations, or build‑to‑suit tenant interiors
Interior design strategies and current trends
Building code questions and constraints including life‑safety, accessibility, and other factors that influence design decisions
City permitting, zoning, parking, and entitlement considerations
How to assemble the right design team for your project including architects, engineers (MEP, civil, and structural), and a contractor. We'll discuss who you’ll need, when you’ll need them, and why each role matters
Projects may be residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, or veterinary, can be all shapes and sizes, and can range from early concept exploration to active planning.
✏️Ideal for clients planning a project who want to make informed decisions before committing significant time and resources.
🕒 How it works:
This is a one‑hour meeting within the 11:00 AM–2:00 PM window. After you register, I’ll follow up to confirm your preferred time slot (11–12, 12–1, or 1–2).
Come with sketches, questions, or simply an idea you want to pressure‑test. I'll have paper, rulers, pens, and markers. I’m happy to meet you where you are in the process!
