The People Cheat Code: How to Lead Teams Without the Constant Conflict
What if the tension on your team isn’t random — and there’s actually a clearer way to see why people clash, disconnect, or struggle to work well together?
In this session, Wei Houng, Co-founder of HumanOp Technologies, will introduce a framework for understanding team dynamics more clearly, so leaders can stop spending their days managing unnecessary conflict and start building teams that work in greater flow.
HumanOp helps people see beyond the surface to unlock the potential in themselves and their teams. Rooted in both professional and personal development, their approach is designed to help individuals better understand their strengths, work more in rhythm with who they are, and create healthier, more effective ways of working together.
In partnership with HumanOp, this workshop explores a simple but powerful way to understand why people on teams don’t always get along — and how leaders can create more alignment, less friction, and stronger collaboration.
You’ll leave with a fresh lens for understanding team dynamics — and practical insight into how to build a team that works together more smoothly, so you can spend less time putting out fires and more time leading well.
To help attendees get the most out of the conversation, we highly encourage participants to complete this optional Character Assessment Tool beforehand:

This assessment is designed to highlight your unique strengths and can make the session feel more personal and directly applicable. There’s absolutely no pressure to complete it — simply showing up is more than enough — but if you’d like to dive deeper, having your results on hand may help you get even more out of the experience.
About the Host
Wei Houng is the co-founder and Chief Visionary Officer of HumanOp® Technologies, where he sets the vision and does the ideating. He started coaching over thirty years ago and has worked with leaders from some of the largest companies in the world down to people bootstrapping out of a spare room. He puts the number of people he's worked with in the thousands. Mostly founders and people running companies. Also professional athletes, first responders, veterans, celebrities, and executives inside very large organizations.
He studied computer science engineering at UCLA and then never worked a day as an engineer, at least not in the traditional sense. What he kept was the engineer's discipline: find the one thing that's actually causing the failure, change that one thing, and watch what happens. Applied to a person instead of a machine, that's the whole method.
