Body Doubling with Steph🦆
what is body doubling? 🦆
body doubling is a productivity and regulation tool that many neurodivergent people use to help with focus, motivation, task initiation, and emotional overwhelm.
it simply means completing tasks alongside another person — either physically or virtually.

for a lot of neurodivergent folks, especially those with ADHD, autism, anxiety, or executive functioning challenges, doing things alone can sometimes feel incredibly difficult. even small tasks can become mentally “stuck.”
but when another person is present, something shifts.
their presence can help create: 🦆 accountability 🦆 grounding 🦆 structure 🦆 nervous system regulation 🦆 reduced feelings of isolation 🦆 motivation to begin
body doubling isn’t about pressure or perfection. it’s about co-existing while working toward your goals together.
sometimes it looks like: answering emails on a live call cleaning your apartment while someone else folds laundry working quietly beside a friend studying together virtually or simply knowing someone else is “there” with you while you tackle hard things.
for many neurodivergent people, body doubling can transform overwhelming tasks into manageable ones — and remind us that we were never meant to do everything alone :)
