The Art of Recommender Systems: Getting comfortable with Decision Automation

​A recommender system works by making decisions that you and your human colleagues would regularly make. 

​Organizations that aren't used to using recommender systems are used to having a lot of visibility into which customers are getting communication about what products or brands, and often expect to be able to retrospectively ask why specific communication decisions were made. 

​Having a recommender system doesn't mean you lose all visibility into those issues, but it does mean you have to accept less clarity in exchange for greater efficiency and performance. 

​In this session, we'll discuss what recommender systems are automating, how a good implementation ensures quality automation, and how an organization will need to manage the change to greater automation.
