THE DEBRIEF + EXECUTION

Presented by Manhattan Model Management and 99 Yards

An intimate, two-part conversation exploring how to avoid the quintessential “five minutes of success” in this industry — and why talent alone will never be enough.

The Debrief

Our first discussion brings together four highly respected panelists, each playing an integral role in bringing a vision to life.

Execution

Execution focuses on what it actually takes to move that vision forward—how ideas are developed, produced, and built into something that lasts.

The Format

Rather than building a panel around what we think you want to hear, we’re opening the floor to you. Once you register, you’ll receive a short questionnaire outlining key themes, along with space to submit as many questions as you’d like.

We’ll select the most compelling submissions and handwrite each chosen question on a card. Our host will read them aloud, along with the name of the guest who asked it.

What to Expect

You’ll hear from seven industry professionals who have operated behind the scenes, built for globally recognized brands, and appeared on the covers of leading international publications.

This is not a surface-level conversation. It’s a candid look at what it actually takes to execute in this industry — and why most don’t.

Meet the Panelists:

The Debrief

Anna Alimani: The Presence

Anna Alimani has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle, and has walked the international runways that define the industry’s highest standards.

A recent graduate of Columbia Business School, she brings a dual perspective: understanding both the visibility of the model and the mechanics behind the industry that sustains it.

Her career is marked not by momentary visibility, but by sustained relevance — grounded in an understanding of what it takes to be selected, not just seen. She understands the difference between being booked and being chosen.

Richard "Parlay" Copier: The Visual Poet

Richard "Parlay" Copier is a photographer known for cinematic, emotionally precise imagery. With over a decade of experience, his work sits at the intersection of story telling and editorial, capturing not just the image but the energy behind it.

Through One I Photography, he’s developed a signature style that prioritizes collaboration over spectacle. He knows what makes a subject compelling, and what doesn’t. His perspective offers a look into how moments are shaped, framed, and remembered long after the shoot ends. Rich brings a sharp understanding of what makes a subject captivating in a saturated visual landscape, and the necessary relationship between being felt and being remembered.

JamieLynn De Leon (JJ): The Architect

JamieLynn De Leon (JJ) is a celebrity hairstylist and New York Fashion Week lead artist with over two decades of experience. She has led hair teams for over 100 runway shows and participated in global fashion weeks, including through platforms such as Runway 7.

She is the founder of Rogue House Salon, a boutique East Village space built around a creative, lounge-like concept, reflecting her broader approach to both artistry and environment.

Her work extends beyond execution—focusing on structure, consistency, and the systems required to support high-level creative output. She doesn’t just create the look, she builds what holds it together.

Tianyun Lan: The Perception

Tianyun Lan is a New York–based stylist and visual director working across editorial, runway, and brand development. She served as a stylist for the New York Fashion Week runway presentation produced by 99 Yards, supporting emerging designers within a curated platform.

Her work has appeared in international publications including Vanity Teen, i-D, ELLE, and L’Officiel, and she has collaborated with brands such as Collina Strada, The Webster, and Elie Tahari.

Her work centers on perception: understanding what translates visually, what holds attention, and how a concept is ultimately received once it’s seen.

Execution

Ramdat Harihar: The Operator

Ramdat Harihar is a New York–based garment manufacturer with decades of experience in the city’s Garment District, having produced for designers such as Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, and Anna Sui.

Originally from Guyana, he worked his way up from entry-level factory roles to become the longtime owner of R&C Apparel, building a reputation as a trusted operator within New York’s production ecosystem.

He is known for supporting emerging designers navigating local manufacturing, offering a grounded perspective on sourcing, construction, timelines, and the realities that determine whether a concept can actually be brought to life. He understands why not everything can, or should be made.

Camille Block: The Standard

Camille Block is a fashion consultant with decades of experience, bringing a depth of knowledge shaped by both commercial and editorial work. She has taught at the Fashion Institute of Technology for years, influencing the next generation of designers through a rigorous, standards-driven approach.

Her experience includes work with Victoria’s Secret, designing intimates for Vanity Fair, and contributions to Intima Magazine, grounding her perspective in both large-scale production and high-level editorial.

A specialist in intimates, swimwear, and technical design, she brings a precise understanding of fit, construction, and the structural integrity required to bring a concept to life. Her ability is anchored in a clear sense of the standards required to meet the mark.

Zasckia Villatoro: The Strategist

Zasckia Villatoro leads trade marketing across North America at Kering Eyewear, shaping how brands such as Cartier, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, and Saint Laurent are translated at retail.

Her work focuses on positioning, bridging global brand vision with local market behavior, and determining what resonates, what converts, and what ultimately sustains growth. She understands why being built doesn’t automatically translate to being sold.

Kenzo aka -cide: The Builder

Kenzo is a boundary-pushing designer and the founder of -cide, a brand exploring the intersection of art, culture, and luxury. Influenced by figures like Jean-Michel Basquiat, his work challenges traditional fashion norms, with each piece functioning as both garment and statement.

His designs have reached customers in over 75 countries and have been worn by celebrities and leading stylists. Known for creating original, custom pieces, he combines raw, expressive ideas with high-level craftsmanship.

Kenzo’s work and perspective have been featured on Fox 5 New York and The New York Times, and he has spoken at New York University and Brooklyn College, where he shares his approach to building within fashion and culture.
