the mindless mires #4: parks of north york
It's time to get out of your head and get into North York! Come cultivate some no-mind on an 11 km walk through the ravines with Happy Town.
The mindless mires brings together a group of curious people to meet up and walk in the ravines of the Greater Toronto Area. It's a space for people who love wandering conversations, without the pressure of networking or speed dating.
Route: We'll meet at Lawrence Park, follow the ravine paths to Sunnybrook Park, walk up to the botanical gardens, and then down the Don Valley Trail to Eglinton and Leslie.
You can catch the Eglinton LRT there back to Yonge.
Heads up: The route is 11 km. Some of it is unpaved—closed-toe shoes recommended. The route is a little longer and more difficult than the mindful miles walk in High Park.
Bring: a water bottle and some food. Note that the walk runs through dinnertime, so eat beforehand or pack something substantial to eat—or both.
