About Event

Games for Change and Video Games Europe invite you to attend Powering Positive Play: A Shared Responsibility, an exclusive policy discussion taking place on Tuesday 10 November at the Solvay Library in Brussels.

Bringing together EU policymakers, institutional representatives, industry leaders, civil society organisations and experts, the event will explore how stakeholders can work together to foster a trusted, competitive, and healthy video games ecosystem.

The morning will feature a keynote from Dr Rachel Kowert, Research Director at Games for Change, an esteemed research psychologist and internationally recognised expert on the psychology of video games and player wellbeing. This will be followed by a studio showcase and moderated panel discussion, bringing together perspectives from across industry, the European Parliament, EU institutions and civil society.

We are pleased to confirm the participation of leading voices:

  • Renate Nikolay, Deputy Director-General at DG CONNECT, European Commission, responsible for digital transformation, connectivity and digital policy across the European Union.

  • Maria Guzenina, Member of the European Parliament for the S&D Group

  • Dirk Bosmans, Director General at PEGI, the age rating system used across Europe for video games

  • Nate Sawatzky, Head of Trust & Safety at Supercell, creators of Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars

  • Celia Zimmermann, Head of Player Experience (PX), Social Media and Community at SYBO Games, creators of the global hit Subway Surfers

We look forward to sharing further information on upcoming guest speakers and hope you will be able to join us!
