About Event

Background

The Women in Geopolitics Debate Series is a high-level dialogue platform that convenes former diplomats, policy experts, political leaders, scholars, and practitioners to examine Africa’s geopolitical positioning within an increasingly complex global order.

The series is designed to amplify women’s voices in international affairs, deepen strategic and geopolitical literacy, and equip African women with the analytical tools necessary to influence policy, governance, peace, and security at the highest levels.

Structured into thematic Seasons, each composed of weekly debate sessions, the programme explores critical continental issues through sharp analysis, expert perspectives, and informed dialogue.

This platform empowers African women to:

• Understand and interpret global power dynamics

• Participate in high-level geopolitical dialogue

• Influence public policy and governance

• Strengthen Africa’s voice in international decision-making

Building on the momentum of the successful G20 Series, the December edition marks the official launch of Season 1 of the Women in Geopolitics Programme.

Season 2 shifts the conversation from dialogue to economic positioning and sector participation.

This season will focus on unlocking opportunities for women in key sectors that drive Africa’s growth, while connecting them to:

Each session will bring together three critical voices:
