Mixology 101: Bartendering & Social Chemistry
Alcohol is one of humanity’s oldest coordination tools—long used to reduce social friction and accelerate trust and conversation.
Mixology 101 is a hands-on introduction to the art, logic, and culture of making great drinks
(and yes, getting people a little drunk and a lot happier).
We’ll explore cocktails not as recipes only, but as systems: balance, ratios, temperature, dilution, texture, aroma, and serving ..
It’s how you fork the recipe, understand the protocol, and still ship a great drink anywhere with limited inputs (ingredients)
Structure:
course at the Bar 13th floor from 7:30-8:30pm,
8:30pm - late night little party, in which newly formed bartender will be serving us :)
You’ll leave with:
Fluency in classic cocktail structures
The ability to improvise great drinks from minimal options
A spec-sheet way of reading cocktail menus
A practical sense of Proof of Mix and Drinks as a Social Protocol
This session is led by Sam, a mixologist, bartender f and Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge finalist.. experienced in distillation, fermentation and social chemistry ;D
