Welcome to the first ever Happy Town Blood Drive!
On June 13th we'll be heading to the donation centre at 67 College St. to donate blood as a group. After hearing a bit about what we do, CBS graciously offered us their atrium space to host a fairgrounds event simultaneously during the blood drive. Everyone who's donating will be able to participate!

Donation slots are limited, so please book an appointment as soon as possible using the instructions below:

Book an appointment from our 27 available time slots on June 13th (Option to book time slots should be visible at the bottom of our team’s page)
*Time slots must be booked before July 6th. Spots are given on a first come, first serve basis

Important notes from Canadian Blood Services:
If possible, avoid drinking caffeinated drinks before donating to avoid dehydration
After donating, some people may feel weak/tired. Please avoid heavy physical activity after donating
Donation Day Reminders:
Donors must be 17+ years old, in general good health, and meet height/weight requirements
Bring government-issued photo ID and a list of current medications
Stay well-hydrated and eat a salty snack before donating
Review the eligibility quiz if you haven't already

Plan for the day:
8-10:30am - Optional Mindful Miles walk through the PATH
11am - Meet at 67 College St. (Please be on time for your donation)
For those who are donating, we will be running a fairgrounds event during the blood drive in the atrium of the donation centre. For those who are unfamiliar, the fairgrounds is an event where we host various tables of activities such as arts and crafts, writing groups and card games
As we do the event, they'll call each of us up to donate and then we can return to the event once the donation process is complete
Feel free to invite friends and family to come donate with you, the more the merrier!

Snacks will be provided by the donation centre during the event
They also allow you to bring in food if you’d like grab something for lunch and bring it to the donation centre
