TUBU Fest - Group Theatre Outing
WHO: Adults who want to see and support original theatre made by artists with disabilities (including some of the folks in our community). This one is a sit-down performance in a theatre with a set start time, so it's a better fit for people who are comfortable staying seated for a full show.
Support persons are welcome, but please RSVP separately — and please note they will also need to purchase a ticket.

WHAT: TUBU Fest — Theatre for Us By Us — is Austin's disability short fringe theatre festival, now in its third year and an Austin Theatre Critics Award recipient.
Each night is a program of original short plays written by playwrights with disabilities, and the festival includes all disabilities: physical, mental, neurological, invisible, diagnosed, and undiagnosed.
Opening night also features our own ATX NCC community member Tobin, who is performing in the show. We're going as a group to fill some seats and cheer him on!
WHEN: Curtain is at 7:00 pm. Please meet us in the lobby by [6:40 pm] so we can sit together as a group.

COST: Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are [pay what you can] and available here: TICKET LINK. This link takes you to purchase tickets for Thursday's show. We highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance, as tickets may no longer be available by the evening of the show.
Registering on Luma does not get you a ticket and we will NOT be purchasing group tickets this time around. Please do both - RSVP with us to let us know you'll be joining us AND buy your ticket in advance at the link above.
PARKING: There is ample off-street parking by Ground Floor Theatre. If unfamiliar with the location, you will turn off of Springdale Rd. into the lot and drive around to the backside of the compound to find the Ground Floor Theatre.
ACCESSIBILITY: TUBU Fest builds accessibility into the festival rather than adding it on. The theatre, restrooms, audience area, stage, and backstage are all wheelchair accessible, and the venue is on Cap Metro / MetroAccess routes. Audio description and ASL interpretation are available on request — request these directly through TUBU Fest when you buy your ticket, not through ATX NCC.
This is a theatre, so the house lights go down and the room is quiet during performances. There is a 20-minute intermission. You are welcome to step out at any point, though you may need to wait for a scene break to return to your seat. We ask that you let ATX NCC staff know if you will be late or decide to leave early.
