About Event

Chinese running shoes are moving fast.

Established brands such as Li-Ning, Anta, Xtep and 361°, alongside newer names including BMAI and Dynafish, are producing serious daily trainers, supertrainers and race-day shoes. Interest is growing, but for UK runners the journey from curiosity to confidence is still surprisingly difficult: limited opportunities to try the shoes, inconsistent sizing, fragmented product information and uncertain delivery or returns.

This is a small, informal working session for runners, coaches, shoe reviewers, run-club organisers, retailers, distributors, e-commerce operators, brand builders and people with China × UK market experience.

We will put shoes on the table, separate genuine performance from internet hype, and explore the practical questions:

• Which brands and models are genuinely competitive?
• What would make UK runners comfortable buying and recommending them?
• Where are the gaps in testing, sizing, content, community and distribution?
• Is there something useful we could test or build together?

There is no sales pitch and no predetermined conclusion. The aim is to leave with a clearer map of the market, some useful new connections and one practical experiment to take forward.

Bring a pair if you own one, a strong opinion if you have one, or simply curiosity. Expect an unusually specific conversation about foam, plates and feet. 👟🧪
