About Event

The same stories have kept coming around in the news this year. And each time, people notice the same thing: men's voices are missing.

So why aren't more men, especially boys and young men, part of these conversations? And what would it take to bring them in?

Capyble co-founder Cam Cliff sits down with behavioural scientist Dave Kramer for an honest, practical conversation about the role men play in building safe, respectful workplaces. The focus is on the places young men actually spend their time: on the job, in training, and at the gym.

What we'll cover

  • What role men have in this conversation, especially at work

  • Why boys and young men often stay out of it, and why male leaders can seem absent too

  • What actually cuts through, and how to invite young men in rather than talk at them

  • The one change Dave would make in every workplace a young man walks into, from first-year apprentices to his own younger self starting out as a personal trainer

  • Why community spaces that are also workplaces, like gyms, have such an important part to play

Who it's for

People and culture teams, managers and team leaders, employers of apprentices and trainees, gym and fitness business owners, and anyone who wants the men in their workplace to be part of the change, not just the subject of it.

About Dave Kramer

Dave Kramer is a behavioural scientist and sought-after speaker who brings a unique blend of honesty, personal narrative and evidence-based research to critical social issues like gender-based violence prevention. His journey to this work began after his best friend and her three children lost their lives in a tragic act of men's violence in 2020. Since then, Dave has dedicated his life to helping people create safe spaces wherever they live, learn and work. Through each conversation, he inspires people to lead with courage and empathy, turning the memory of his loved ones into lasting cultural change.

About Cam Cliff

Dr Cameron Cliff is a filmmaker turned social impact and edtech specialist, and co-founder and CEO of Capyble. He holds a PhD in cross-media storytelling and completed a Churchill Fellowship investigating how workplaces worldwide can lead the prevention of domestic and family violence. Before Capyble, Cameron built the brand and business strategy for Ludo Studios (the team behind Bluey), led social impact at Go1 for five years, and founded Impact by Design, which trained more than 500,000 people in trauma-informed sexual harassment and domestic and family violence prevention. Through Capyble, he now works with organisations and governments to turn workplaces into the frontline of that change.

This session will be recorded, and short clips will be shared afterwards.
