EIC Virtual Deal Share
Welcome to the EIC Virtual Deal Sharing session: a monthly, intimate roundtable where early-career venture capital and startup investors trade active, high-quality deal flow.
The concept is simple: your ticket to the call is one actionable deal.
Whether it’s a promising startup that didn't quite fit your fund’s specific thesis/stage, or a stellar portfolio company currently raising its next round, bring one company to share and gain access to high-conviction deal flow from peers across the ecosystem.
🎟️ How Admission Works (Strict "Give-to-Get")
To maintain high signal and actionable quality, registrations are manually approved. To be accepted into the session, you must submit at least one active deal via the registration questions below.
For the company you submit, please provide:
Sector Vertical: (e.g., Enterprise SaaS, FinTech, ClimateTech, BioHealth).
Current Stage: (e.g., Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A).
Why you're sharing: (e.g., "Out of fund mandate size," "Wrong geography for our thesis," or "Existing portco opening round to co-investors").
⚡ Session Format & Etiquette
Pitch & Pass: Each attendee gets 2 minutes to present their shared company, followed by a quick Q&A.
Direct Connections: If a deal catches your eye, you are responsible for following up directly with the sharing investor or startup team after the call.
Confidentiality First: All information shared during this session is strictly confidential and meant solely for participating investors.
🛡️ Code of Conduct & Brand Protection
By registering for this event, all participants—including members of Emerging Investors Canada (EIC) and guest attendees—agree to abide by the EIC Community Code of Conduct:
Respect & Professional Integrity: Maintain confidentiality regarding non-public company data, founder details, and deal terms shared during the session.
No Unsolicited Spam: Do not use deal flow data or participant lists for aggressive outbound sales, marketing, or unauthorized mass contact.
Founder Respect: Ensure any company you bring to the table is shared in good faith and with appropriate context.
Non-compliance with the Code of Conduct or sharing inappropriate/false deal information will result in immediate removal from the session and revocation of future EIC event privileges.
