WOA RoW Presents...From Founder's Vision to Family Legacy: Aligning Purpose Across Generations
Most family offices are built around the judgment of one founder, and the hardest test of that structure comes when decisions pass to the next generation. Boards, shareholder agreements, and investment policies settle who has the authority to decide, yet they say little about how a family agrees on what its wealth is for. Wanja Michuki works on that second question. She is a CFA charterholder and Columbia MBA who advises families and family offices on governance, and she draws on life experience of succession conflict.
During the session, we will:
Introduce Compassionate Governance in Family Enterprises, Wanja's framework for bringing clarity, compassion, and shared purpose into family decision-making alongside corporate governance
Walk through the succession pitfalls that most often divide families and the family offices that serve them
Explore how families align the use of their wealth with shared values so that it remains sustainable across generations
Hear practical guidance for family office professionals who work between family members and investment decisions
