Purpose
This event marks the ceremonial opening of the SDJ100 Centennial Celebration, honoring the life and artistic influence of Sammy Davis Jr. through jazz, storytelling, and the fearless comedic tradition that shaped American entertainment. Proceeds from the event support the completion and installation of a 15' sculpture of Sammy Davis Jr., preservation of the Historic Harrison House, a Nevada 501c3 location in Las Vegas that once served as a home away from home for Sammy and other legendary entertainers of color, Title I education programs and future legacy programming.
