Oceans as a Focal Point for NYC's Climate Future, a Targeted Brainstorming Session
The NY OceanTech Summit team is hosting an interactive workshop during Climate Week to spotlight the ocean’s critical role in New York City’s climate future. The event will serve as the week’s capstone: energizing participants with a forward-looking, action-oriented dialogue on the intersections of ocean innovation, climate resilience, and economic opportunity.
Why OceanTech, Why NYC?
The ocean plays a central role in addressing climate change, encompassing energy, resilience, biodiversity, and carbon solutions. New York is uniquely positioned to lead ocean innovation and commercialization, given its talent, infrastructure, financial networks, and maritime assets. The event invites participants to contribute to a vision for how NYC can serve as a hub for the broader Blue Economy.
The Brainstorming Session
The summit team will be guiding a moderated brainstorming session using Parallel Thinking techniques (also called Six Thinking Hats). Come prepared to participate in the conversation with your unique perspective.
This event is private and invite-only. Availability is EXTREMELY limited.
Please consider buying a ticket for $5, $10 or $20. We don't make money off of hosting this. All funds go to food and supplies.
Thank You to Our Supporters
Fenwick & West. This is the best law firm for Climate startups. Hands down. They are in the community, supporting startups at the nitty-gritty early stages unlike most law firms I know. Come to their office and meet some of the team.
Founders Factory. A Founders Factory team-member spoke at the very first BlueTech event we hosted. Since then I haven't known anyone to provide as much support to the Climate, Oceans, and BlueTech ecosystem as this team.
