DIIS MAKING LAB: Build Your Own Electric Paper Plane 怎样在阳台手搓一架电动纸飞机？
Almost everyone has made a paper plane at some point in childhood. Simple materials, lightweight structures, and direct interaction make it one of the most accessible flying objects ever created — yet behind it lies the fascinating foundation of aerodynamics.
But what happens when a paper plane meets an electric motor?
In this workshop, participants will explore the basics of flight through a hands-on introduction to aerodynamics, aircraft design principles, and the evolution of lightweight electric flying devices. Step by step, we will build and test our own electric paper planes together.
From folding structures and balancing weight distribution to understanding airflow and propulsion systems, this workshop aims to make flight more approachable, intuitive, and fun through direct experimentation.
No engineering, electronics, or aviation background is required. Whether you're completely new to DIY maker projects or already curious about experimental devices, lightweight aircraft, future mobility, or playful technology, everyone is welcome to join.
By the end of the session, participants will not only take home a self-built electric paper plane, but also gain a practical introduction to aerodynamics, aircraft structures, and lightweight electric propulsion systems.
直到今天，“纸飞机”几乎仍然是每个人童年里都亲手做过的东西。它结构简单、材料易得、制作直接，却也隐藏着最基础、最迷人的飞行原理。
但如果纸飞机遇上电动机，会发生什么？
在这次 workshop 中，我们将从基础空气动力学原理出发，带大家了解飞行器设计的基本逻辑、电动飞行的发展历史，以及轻型飞行器如何真正飞离地面。参与者将一步步亲手制作一架属于自己的电动纸飞机，并在现场进行试飞。
从纸张折叠、重心调整，到动力系统与空气流动的关系，这场活动希望用一种更轻松、更直观的方式，让更多人理解“飞行”究竟是如何发生的。
你不需要任何工程、电子或航空基础。无论你是第一次接触 maker project，还是本身对 DIY、机械结构、未来交通、实验装置或飞行器感兴趣，都可以参与其中。
活动结束后，参与者不仅能够带走自己亲手制作的电动纸飞机，也将获得一次关于空气动力学、飞行器结构与轻型动力系统的真实体验。
